Our Process

Planning a kitchen or bathroom renovation can be overwhelming, and that’s where an experienced contractor can help. Mayflower has streamlined the process, to make everything straightforward and minimize the interruptions to your lives. From the first call you make to our office, you’ll have an experienced design consultant at your service, who will gather all the relevant information about your project and outline the next steps. 

We’ll guide you through budgeting, material selection, and choosing a perfect layout. Once you’ve planned with your design consultant, you’ll be in the trusted hands of an experienced project manager for a painless construction process that delivers outstanding results everytime.

How We Work

1. SITE MEETING

The first step is setting up a site visit to look over your existing space, take measurements and pictures, and discuss your ideas and preferences. If you’re building a new house, we’ll use your architectural plans and technical drawings for further design development.

2. SHOWROOM MEETING

Next, we’ll invite you in to our showroom to refine your design elements and overall plan. Once we complete your project plans, you’ll approve the plans and sign the design agreement.

3. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

During the design development phase, we’ll flesh out the details and finalize all the structural elements, construction documents, and floor plans. Design development typically includes several meetings, during which we’ll discuss costs, timing, and approvals for design drawings and layouts.

4. CONTRACT SIGNING

When your project plan is finalized, we’ll present for your approval a written contract that includes every detail of your project. Once you sign the agreement, we will finalize the schedule and order your cabinetry. We’ll make sure you have all the information you need to give your final approval before work begins. And once you’ve signed the contract, you still have three days to change your mind.

5. CONSTRUCTION PHASE

An experienced Mayflower project manager will oversee your project from ordering to your final walkthrough to ensure your new kitchen or bathroom is completed early or on time. Our office staff takes care of all ordering and accepts deliveries in house so you don't have to lift a finger during construction.

6. FINAL WALKTHROUGH

Once your project is completed, we’ll do a final walk-through with you. At this point, we will take care of any final loose ends and then leave you to enjoy your new kitchen or bathroom!

Meet Our Skilled Team

We do all of our own work, with our own highly skilled and experienced project managers and craftspeople. We don’t use subcontractors. We take care of everything from the initial planning and scheduling to installing your new kitchen or bathroom. Our employees are experienced professionals, and we engage in ongoing training to stay current with the latest construction codes, installation techniques, and new materials.

Each job is assigned one of our 2-3 person teams, and all of our teams are managed by our foreman, who oversees every project to ensure a smooth, trouble-free experience. We also have a licensed electrician and plumber to perform specialized electrical and plumbing tasks. Our project manager makes sure that no detail is overlooked. And if you need to talk to us at any time, you can always reach our friendly customer service manager, who’s ready to answer your questions.
