Indoor Pre-Fab Sauna

The sauna is constructed from Clear Western Red Cedar throughout the interior and exterior. The standard 4′×6′ model accommodates approximately 1–3 people and measures 72¼″ wide × 64¾″ deep × 82⅛″ high. Its no-overhang design features solid 2×6 tongue-and-groove cedar walls and ceiling, dovetail-notched corners, and a threaded-rod assembly system. Manufactured in Canada.

The 4′×6′ cabin includes a 4.5 kW Mikko-NU 45 electric sauna heater. The traditional stone-based heater provides dry heat and allows water to be applied to the stones for bursts of steam. Temperature and operating-time controls are built directly into the heater, allowing the 240V power supply to connect without a separate wall-mounted control panel.

A cedar-framed sauna door with an approximately 15″×60″ full-length, single-pane tempered-glass window is included. The door is right-hinged as standard and can be ordered with left-side hinges upon request. The manufacturer-supplied hinges and wood sauna handle are included.

Preassembled two-tier back-wall benches are constructed from Clear Western Red Cedar to match the enclosure. The upper bench is approximately 19¼″ deep, and the lower bench is approximately 18½″ deep. The smooth, unfinished cedar seating surfaces are designed for traditional sauna use.

Removable cedar flooring is provided within the open walking area of the sauna but does not extend beneath the benches. An optional solid-wood floor system is available and increases the sauna’s overall height by approximately 1½″.

A minimum finished ceiling height of 85″ is required for assembly, although approximately 90″ is recommended for comfortable installation access. The sauna is designed for placement inside an existing dry, finished room with sufficient surrounding access for assembly and electrical connection.

The 4.5 kW heater requires a dedicated 240V electrical circuit. A 30A circuit is typically used, subject to the manufacturer’s specifications, available electrical-panel capacity, and local requirements. Power connects directly to the heater’s built-in controls. The final breaker size, conductor size, disconnecting method, and required circuit protection will be confirmed for the project location.

Mayflower will obtain and file the required electrical permit. Upon completion, the electrical work will be scheduled for final inspection by the applicable county authority. All permit fees, inspection fees, and permit-processing costs will be covered by Mayflower.

The starting selection is the 4′×6′ cabin, designed for approximately 1–3 people. Additional 4′×7′, 5′×5′, 5′×6′, 5′×7′, 6′×7′, and 6′×8′ configurations are available. Depending on the selected cabin size and bench arrangement, the available models accommodate approximately 1–6 people.
